Staying at Poás Lodge is like living in a cozy English cottage, far away from civilization. Between the Barva and Poás Volcanoes, the lodge offers a quiet ambiance with pretty gardens, rainforest trails and exuberant vegetation. The sunken fireplace is a wonderful spot in the evening for relaxing and reflecting on the day’s events. Each room has its own private bath with shower, hot water and double bed with warm blankets. The area is a hidden treasure for bird watchers and offers a variety of special flora that grow at this altitude, which is particularly noted for its epiphytes, such as bromeliads and orchids.
