Located on the Northeast area of costa Rica’s Caribbean coast, between the Tortuguero Lagoon and the Caribbean sea. You can reach the lodge by land/boat or by air. By land is a 3-hours drive from San José towards the Port of Matina followed by a 2 to 2 _ riverboat trip along the canals of Tortuguero to Mawamba Lodge. By air, it takes 30 minutes from San José to Tortuguero Airstrip. This airstrip is just a 5 minutes boat-ride to the Lodge.
The lodge includes two docks, swimming pool, Jacuzzi, souvenir shop, relaxing rancho with hammocks, nature trails & butterfly garden and walking beach access.
